title: we say ice ice baby ICE ICE BABY
so many things have happened in this short span of time.
so today, i'll be talking about camp and xuwen's farewell.
and oh, before that, happy Mother's day!
plan fell through though but never mind, we shall make it up soooon!
so anyway, on to camp.
it was pretty awesome, just that day one was boring.
we played this navy seals game that everyone else was cheating at and there were spiders, millipedes and lots of love grass that stuck on to my track pants.
so much so that i went up to ho and carolyn, pointed at my track pants and said
"hey look! this spring's newest fashion statement!"
after that was the leadership talk, which pretty much caused the incessant pain my bottom had to go through. well at least we learnt about the SWOT thing, and the class SWOT thing was highly amusing, the threats being prime and all. and oh, i can never forget what ho wrote on her personal threats part. she wrote "poor health"
i was laughing like crazy and then after that i saw simin write "poor health (H5N1)"
i guess this demonstrates the truth in er ru mu ran (if i remembered it clearly)?
haha anyway, so that was pretty much the first day.
the second day was a whole lot better!
there were high elements like rock climbing, log walking, and scary things.
i guess it was the first time i truly experienced the power of motivation and encouragement.
i never thought that the screams and cheers were so powerful!
honestly, when i was up on the log, my legs were trembling, i felt so scared, i felt chicken!
but i knew i couldn't just give up, i mean, i had such a hard time getting up and all right?
so, i just walked and walked and walked, praying in my mind.
it was quite a relief when it ended and even now i can't seem to remember how i felt there and then.
anyway, at the moving logs station, i once again felt the power of encouragement.
sara was really scared and seriously, just looking at the swaying tyres made me cringe.
so, ho and i, being the great awesoem composers we are, made a cheer for sara and screamed it to her throughout! she was so cute! when her harness rope thing got tangled with the tyre, the safety instructor said she had to get on the tyre again. we were all like "WHAT?!?!?!?!?" she then tried to lift the tyre, but eventually she got back onto it, spun one round and got back on the platform. she was so brave! awesome guts!
next was the high rock climbing. i thought since i only did 1 item so far, it wouldn't hurt giving another one a go right? i didn't want to go home having only tried the log thing! so i gave it a go.
mackie was before me and i tell you she was so totally cool! she scaled the thing like spiderwoman or something! she was so good! she really raised the bar!
so i was next. i told myself that i would be contented just to reach the seventh panel, anyway 7 is my favourite number. and it was really tough, the arms were like on anesthesia, numb and all. but i just tried, up, up and away! but i stopped at the eighth panel although i would have really liked to reach the top!
after lunch was the team bonding games. i think it was really until then that all of us displayed the willpower, enthusiasm and will to overcome the obstacles. although i would have really liked to succeed in games like the hand entanglement and the mat game, we just have to accept failures sometimes. actually many a times. but it was really nice that all of us took the initiative to try to cooperate and solve the problem. i just felt this indescribable sense of fulfilment when everyone was trying their best as a team. despite the failure, i felt that all of us gave our personal best and worked really hard.
oh oh and campfire was awesome(okay, i need to work on my thesaurus and vocab, i can't keep using awesome!) let's just say the campfire was astounding!

okay, so yes, unfortunately we (meg and i) didn't get to camwhore on day 3 due to some reasons.
sad yeah i know :(
anyway, since i didn't get to participate in the affirmation note writing thing, i shall do it here!
basically, i want to thank the whole of 3 HOPE, Ms Lee and the instructors!
