title: hmmm, god's plans

today, was the school's 75th anniversary.
and during the mass, 2 nice little innocent birds were freed,
and they supposedly were to represent us as 1 bird was wearing a white t-shirt (rofl) and the other a blue t-shirt.
we were all quite excited as the teachers and the Father were trying to "force" it out of its ever so comfy and safe lil' cage as they were dismantling the cage in the process...
so, the first bird flew out, and hopped on the field (luckily) and the second flew majestically while we were cheering like mad...
then the real fun began, or maybe the real TRAGEDY began.
1 huge crow ( or robin/jackdaw/or whatever you suppose) swooped down and there was a struggle, not only among the birds, but us too..
we were screaming and shouting and blaring as we witnessed with our very own eyes how the crow brutally shoved the vulnerable harmless bird in its beak and took off with its "prize".
at that time, we were already anxiously looking out for the other bird.
and one of the communion helpers ran across the field to saved the other bird hopping around, apparently injured too for whatever unknown reason.
however, the other bird was still fighting for its life.
the crow flew and landed on the lampost and at that moment, the small bird darted out and we were like cheering like crazy! for it to fight for its live, but however, as the kiddy saying goes, the excitement was short-lived and the bird once again got caught by the crow...

this
was
such
a
tragedy.

the innocent poor domestic bird was far too vulnerable!
and yet, to satisfy our needs to signify this and that,
a life was lost.
(oh, and during pe right after that, my class witnessed the bird being eaten by 3 other birds on the roof of a house. that scene will always remain... with the lifeless tail bobbing up and down from the birds beak.)
so, when the bird was struggling and fighting, we were cheering and screaming...

this
was
such
a
tragedy.
again

this was supposedly to be God's plans for us.
and to illustrate this situation,
i repeat
a
bird
died.
sacrificed
its
life.

so,
we
have
to
forever
remember
this
day.
16 january 2008.
as it is not only the school's anniversary,
but also the lil' bird's death anniversary.

and
this
is
a
high
price.
too
high
a
price.

for the bird to die,
like how jesus died for us.

so, today is a sad sad day.
imagine witnessing a death on a bright early cheery morning.
it just spoilt the whole thing.
and i will just mourn for the little bird for just a few days.
keeping it in my memeory.

so cheezeeee!
and cheer up!
for tomorrow is a brand new day!
