title: giraffes and stuff!
haha, the main aim of this post is to describe the shared affinity i have with stuffed animals.
but on a side track, sermon today was kinda entertaining. haha.
it was something about an eaglet amongst chickens and how the eaglet would think its a chick and pick up all the chicky habbits ie: pecking spittle(lol) without realising that it actually doesn't belong there. its only when the eagle(eaglet's mum/dad) hovers around and actually calls out to the little eaglet will it only actually look up and realise it belongs to the boundless blue skies and not the chicken coop.
the significance of the characters: the eaglet represents you; the eagle represents God; the chickens/chicks represent other random people that you might not exactly wish to be around.
so this is kinda of an analogy(!) and i think that it is rather thought provoking.
the moral of the story is when you are around people that you are not supposed to be in, you will somehow not fit in because ultimately, you are different. however, you may not realise that you're not in the right company until God(the eagle) actually calls out to you, gently chiding and guiding you onto the right path.
but sometimes, no most of the times, its difficult to get back on track especially when you feel lost and alone.
ok so anyways.
on to my affinity with stuffed animals:DD
I have great affinity with stuffed toys.
(especially animals)
teehee.
I realised that people tend to give me stuff toys (especially animals, again).
I really wonder why.
I realised today that all the stuff toys I possess are actually gifts.
and none of them are bought by me!
haha.
Let me list them all out:D
1) the cute giraffe
i am saying its cute because its a giraffe! a long awaited one at that!

2) handphone dog thingy
haha, this was given by my cousin i think.
hmm, not much memories of it.
3) brown dog
haha, courtesy of erina:D it was my birthday present. and i totally derive joy from squashing its squashy body:DD its very fun:DD

4) bird that can chirp
this really exhilarates me too because it is exhilarating:D its by far the only stuff toy i own that chirps, or talks for that matter:DD
it was from my dad's hongkong friend from the bird park:D
ps: i did not know him and i have no idea how he knew that i liked stuff toys and animals for that matter:D
5) chimpanzee/ monkey/ a cross breed
this is interesting:D
it was a gift from my chinese tuition teacher and she said she thought it reminded me of her:D
not much of a compliment but i love it:D
because of its long arms and legs that allow me to do gym with it:DD
6) green monkey
this is cool because I really worked hard for this green alien-looking monkey.
I won it during fiesta! I still remember the game, it was something like throwing darts to pop balloons and inside the balloons would be prizes. I have no idea how many balloons i popped before getting the monkey.
the hands are cool cos it has velcro on it and i can like tie it around my neck!
its really cool and cute, besides the fact that its a strange bright green 8D
7) bear
I really liked this one. i think i got it from my mum's friend for a birthday or something:D
I was a mere 10 year old and i even wished i could learn to knit and actually knit clothes for a bear. haha, its kind of funny now that i think about it. but i have yet to give up on that dream and someday, just someday i might really learn how to knit! cool:DD
okay, i have just completed my list of stuffed animals. convinced now eh?
well, i don't really love them but its kinda nice to awake beside a giraffe/ bear/ bird that chirps:DD
