haha, the main aim of this post is to describe the shared affinity i have with stuffed animals. but on a side track, sermon today was kinda entertaining. haha. it was something about an eaglet amongst chickens and how the eaglet would think its a chick and pick up all the chicky habbits ie: pecking spittle(lol) without realising that it actually doesn't belong there. its only when the eagle(eaglet's mum/dad) hovers around and actually calls out to the little eaglet will it only actually look up and realise it belongs to the boundless blue skies and not the chicken coop. the significance of the characters: the eaglet represents you; the eagle represents God; the chickens/chicks represent other random people that you might not exactly wish to be around. so this is kinda of an analogy(!) and i think that it is rather thought provoking. the moral of the story is when you are around people that you are not supposed to be in, you will somehow not fit in because ultimately, you are different. however, you may not realise that you're not in the right company until God(the eagle) actually calls out to you, gently chiding and guiding you onto the right path. but sometimes, no most of the times, its difficult to get back on track especially when you feel lost and alone. ok so anyways.
on to my affinity with stuffed animals:DD
I have great affinity with stuffed toys. (especially animals) teehee. I realised that people tend to give me stuff toys (especially animals, again). I really wonder why. I realised today that all the stuff toys I possess are actually gifts. and none of them are bought by me! haha. Let me list them all out:D 1) the cute giraffe
i am saying its cute because its a giraffe! a long awaited one at that! thank you megan!:DD
2) handphone dog thingy
haha, this was given by my cousin i think. hmm, not much memories of it.
3) brown dog
haha, courtesy of erina:D it was my birthday present. and i totally derive joy from squashing its squashy body:DD its very fun:DD thank you erina!
4) bird that can chirp
this really exhilarates me too because it is exhilarating:D its by far the only stuff toy i own that chirps, or talks for that matter:DD it was from my dad's hongkong friend from the bird park:D ps: i did not know him and i have no idea how he knew that i liked stuff toys and animals for that matter:D
5) chimpanzee/ monkey/ a cross breed
this is interesting:D it was a gift from my chinese tuition teacher and she said she thought it reminded me of her:D not much of a compliment but i love it:D because of its long arms and legs that allow me to do gym with it:DD
6) green monkey
this is cool because I really worked hard for this green alien-looking monkey. I won it during fiesta! I still remember the game, it was something like throwing darts to pop balloons and inside the balloons would be prizes. I have no idea how many balloons i popped before getting the monkey. the hands are cool cos it has velcro on it and i can like tie it around my neck! its really cool and cute, besides the fact that its a strange bright green 8D
7) bear
I really liked this one. i think i got it from my mum's friend for a birthday or something:D I was a mere 10 year old and i even wished i could learn to knit and actually knit clothes for a bear. haha, its kind of funny now that i think about it. but i have yet to give up on that dream and someday, just someday i might really learn how to knit! cool:DD
okay, i have just completed my list of stuffed animals. convinced now eh? well, i don't really love them but its kinda nice to awake beside a giraffe/ bear/ bird that chirps:DD so thank you all of you! for making my bed a nicer place:DD

haha, I am now imagining the kfc jingle bells hand sign song thingy.
anyways, christmas is almost here! but i have yet to get christmas presents!:( I must hurry go get them before its too late! whats christmas without the presents right? but we still have to remember Jesus, the sole reason why we are actually celebrating christmas.
by the way, did you know Jesus was actually born around march, and not actually december? i remember one day years back during sunday school, the teacher said something like that(as far as I can remember owing to my brain and memory). I was actually quite proud at discovering this amazing fact and after sunday school I was so excited and went to tell my mum. But what my mother said kind of struck me and made me realise how I didn't have to be so happy after knowing that Jesus wasn't actually born on christmas. she said the exact date when Jesus was born wasn't exactly important. what was important was the fact that christmas was a time of the year when Jesus existence was celebrated, and how it reminded us of all his sacrifices and selfless-ness. this is kinda hard to describe, but its more of the significance than the exact facts and figures.
and, I think I just thought of why presents are so important(even though I should not think this way><) My analysis is presents is sort of a channel which we can spread the gospel/ message/ love in a neutral way. I say its neutral because at times when you want to share the gospel, non-believers may get put off at the "holiness" or such at your speech or lecture. So, I concluded that when you give someone a present during christmas, and even if that person is a non-believer, she will still accept it right? I mean who won't? Yeah! That's why presents are very important because it helps spread the gospel! and it may help influence non-believers to want to know more about God and his works. So, getting christmas presents are extremly important! hmm, I realise I am repeating the same thing in several different ways... just like what xuwen said... oh no! okay, I just forgot what I wanted to say... hold on a moment please. . . . . . . . aha! thought of it! so, it is kind of sad that I haven't exactly started buying christmas presents. which is a very sad thing considering the time left and the number of presents I'll have to get!
anyways, at least I've designed a few scrapblogs already! but I just realised I can't print them out... hmm. this is nerve wrecking.
Nevermind, training tomorrow! and then maybe christmas shopping at vivo with megan and then caroling. I hope tomorrow will be fun! and I will actually find suitable christmas presents!

geesh, i realised i can't sleep these few nights.. i am really bored, yet tired. there are so many things to be done, yet it seems like none. i really hope school would reopen soon! and i really hope i will be able to sit beside **** ****! okay, this is not an obsession. its just that she's really really nice and really really nice. i know if i ramble on and on, i could fill 2 pages just describing her. so oh well, i shall not, lest people say i like her in all the wrong ways.
so, i am bored. really really bored.
oh, and i am currently wearing my new pink nightie which dad just got from hk. its ghastly pink.. and weirdly lacey.. i didn't really plan on wearing it. but oh well, since it was air-flown from hk, and the only present i got besides a cool red (again, girly colours that i don't really fancy) torch. well, at least it smells nice. really nice.
yay:D i just wasted like 10 minutes of your life! and mine as well, but since i have nothing better to do. oh wait, actually i do have better things to do. like cutting newspapers... and editing more un speeches. -cringes-
