actually, i kinda regret not winning, like having so many underserved losses.
however, still congrats to martha for winning BEST SPEAKER!!! -claps-
so, this is the update for the competition (although no one will really know anyways) but still i will update it as one of the many milestones in my life.
so, we really did our best. staying back everyday and even sleeping over at sweeen's house at !2! which is VERYVERYVERY late for me especially when there's a competition the next day. so in the morning, after finally finishing my rebuttals, the printer didn't work pffft. anyways, thanks for claire's and jolly's comfort although i screwed it up the first round against australian international school. oh, thanks to shirley, sharon and alison for helping me copy too, but sorry, i screwed up:(
the second round, we were against ACS(I). i felt that the team was really good, every single speaker: sweeen, martha and megan. we really shouldn't have lost, but well maybe we just weren't good enough.
the third round which was also the impromptu round, we were against SCGS. and the motion was relatively easier than the prepared one. we worked really hard and i guess that was the first time our whole team worked so hard together. i felt really proud of all of us even though we didn't win. this will be our first baby step and later on, we will take bigger steps together, all in sync:D
THANK YOU GOD, Xuwen, claire, jolly, sancia, alison, sharon, shirley and everyone who supported us emotionally, physically and mentally. sorry for letting all of you down but we will definitely do better the next time. claire, thankyou so much for being there for us and actually you were a great captain even if you don't know it yourself. without you, i guessed we wouldn't have worked so hard for this competition and without Xuwen we prbably would have just screwed ourselves up.
